    Introduction and application of EOC Slave and EOC Master

  • After years of practice in the construction of radio and television bidirectional access networks, PON and EOC have been widely recognized for their low cost, high stability, and high bandwidth, and have become the main technical solutions for radio and television access networks. The PON+EOC solution can fully realize the transmission of CATV, telephone (voice), and computer data in the last few hundred meters of the HFC two-way network. By combining with EPON, GPON, EOC and HFC technologies, it will greatly promote the application development of HFC digital bidirectional access and triple play. The core of the technical solution is to build a manageable and operable carrier-grade HFC multimedia broadband access network based on the existing HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coax, fiber coaxial hybrid network) network resources, and fully integrate radio and television. The unique advantages of HFC access and telecommunications industry, broadband Internet services, VoIP voice services, IPTV video-on-demand services, etc. are carried out on this network.


    EOC Slave With 4FE & WIFI


    SPE-5204WL-R series is the EOC slave based on HomePlug AV solution for Ethernet access over coax.It works together with EOC master which is based on HomePlugAV solution as well to construct a two-layer Ethernet data transmission channel on CATV coax cable, provide the Ethernet access service based on the existing coax cable networking. SPE-5204WL-R series is based the Mstar chipset solution,with high anti jamming capability OFDM technology. The 7.5-65MHz low frequency band is used for EOC signals. Built in high isolation filter as CATV RF and EOC signal mixer, the EOC signal and CATV signal in 87Mhz~1Ghz can run on one cable without interference. The PHY Layer speed is 600Mbps,the MAC Layer throughput is up to 320Mpbs.

    SPE-5204WL-R series WIFI is based the MTK chipset solution.It meets 802.11 b/g/n technical standards. It has two external antenna, and can support 2.4GHz wireless signal. It has the characteristics of strong penetrating power and wide coverage. It can provide users with more efficient data transmission security.

    EOC master Outdoor Type


    The Sopto All-In-One product is designed to provide Internet service to subscriber’s home through the existing coaxial access network. With XPON, EOC and HFC technology , the All-In-One product meets the CATV broadcasting, VOD and Internet service requirement of cable operators for FTTB/FTTC. It build with XPON ONU, EOC master and Optical Receiver module in one housing.

    The Optical Receiver module received the optical signal from the Optical Transmitter of HFC network, and the signal processed by the PD, Amplifier, EQ and AGC to a stable RF output. The output level will be up to 104dBuv( 4*RF output). Ethernet data is delivered to ONU through the XPON network form the OLT.

    The EOC Master module meets Home-plug AV standards, is designed based on Qualcomm AR7410 chip-set with high anti-jamming capability OFDM technology. It will modulate the Ethernet data into EOC RF signal in the 7.5-65MHz .The EOC signal and CATV signal (45~860MHz) can run on one coaxial cable without interference. The EOC Master can provide high speed data service at 600Mbps PHY Layer speed, the MAC Layer throughput is up to 320Mpbs.
