XFP transceiver module
XFP is a hot pluggable fiber optical transceiver ,and compliant with the XFP MSA protocol. SFP+ transceiver module
SFP+ appear after XFP, It is also a hot pluggable fiber optical transceiver. But the SFP+ size is smaller than XFP. SFP+ supporting data rates up to 10G. Including 8G Fibre Channel, 10-Gigabit Ethernet and OTU2 optical transmission network standards.

By comparing XFP with SFP+, it is clear that SFP+ has some advantages over XFP: 10G SFP+ optics take up less space than 10G XFP modules and also enable higher port densities. This is because the SFP+ transceiver keeps more circuitry on the motherboard than inside it - it offloads some functions to the motherboard, including signal modulation functions, MAC, CDR, and EDC. Also, XFP technology is relatively old but more expensive, which is why 10G SFP+ modules are gaining more market share.
